Hacienda Queiles is located in the Queiles Valley, very close to the border of Aragon where it rises toward Moncayo, the highest peak of the Iberian Mountain Range. From this mountain springs the second largest river in the Iberian Peninsula, The Ebro, which feeds the Queiles River that gives its name to the valley and oil mill.

The olive grove, located on stony-limestone soils, faces a particular climate of strong contrasts with extreme temperatures in both winter and summer and little rainfall. The little-known Arróniz olive variety was first introduced by the Phoenicians over 2000 years ago and has evolved to cope with these conditions. Hacienda Queiles continues this ancient tradition of olive oil production combining the best of old and new thinking. With their state-of-the-art mill located on the grove, the fruits are harvested and delivered to the press within 4 hours, and they can oversee every detail of the oil production.

This oil is certified with 100% ecological agricultural practices producing EVOOs without any chemical synthesis residue.

pre-order and save

To make our prices competitive with the equivalent quality olive oil you might find elsewhere, we invite you to pre-order and stock up on oil for the season.

By purchasing in advance we guarantee the farmer and the ship a successful voyage. By collecting from the ship, we reduce the need and cost of onward distribution and storage, and by buying larger amounts to last the season, we collectively economise on the volume of packaging. We pass the financial savings of this on to you and it allows us all to shift toward a way of shopping that is in line with the farmers’ and the ship’s seasonal schedules.

Each 3-litre tin comes with a couple of our “New Dawn Oil” labels so you can fill your own bottles for family and friends.

Early-bird orders are now closed. Limited stock is available to pre-order.

collect from the ship

We are working with the wonderful sailing cargo vessel Grayhound Lugger to transport our oil from Spain to the UK, calling in at the Gloucester Tall Ships Festival from the 25th to 27th of May, before heading to Falmouth for the 3rd of June.

You are welcome to collect all orders of the 3-litre tins from the ship, meet the crew and even have a tour onboard! Just let us know when you place your pre-order and we will update you with collection specifics closer to the time.

If, for any reason, you cannot make it to the ship we will deliver your tin along with any other items ordered by post (UK national delivery only).
